Cord Reels
In recent times, the importance of cord reels has significantly increased as manufactures are adding new features that are application-specific. Considered the ultimate equipments that enable powering of mobile machinery from a stationary power source, cord reels are currently being used for crash carts; refueling; industrial machinery; electrical horizontal retrieval; and more. In addition, they are used at home for different purpose, and also at construction sites.
The frame and drum; the collector ring and brush assembly; and the reel drive system are the three basic components upon which the standard design of coral reeds is based. Depending on the need of each application, the cord reels are modified and made from different type of materials, for example, electric cord is made of wood and plastic. If the use is for heavier applications, they are usually made of steel. Retractable cord reels, electric cord reels and extension cord reels are most often used.

It's important to determine the location where the equipment will be mostly used, as cord reels meant for hazardous location is rated explosion-proof. Also, before buying the power supply application, one must confirm whether the cord reels include a safety ground conductor.
